The Author

Ashton Camelots is a contemporary author known for his lyrical prose, emotional depth, and a quiet sense of wonder that runs through all his stories. With a deep appreciation for the subtleties of human connection and the enduring mysteries of memory and time, Ashton’s writing invites readers to reflect, to feel, and to pause.
His debut book, The Carousel, is a collection of short stories that explore the delicate turning points in people’s lives, the moments that may seem small but ultimately shape who we become. From stories of lost love and found hope to quiet revelations in ordinary settings, The Carousel is both intimate and universal, rooted in the belief that every life holds poetry.
Ashton’s path to writing was shaped by his lifelong fascination with stories in all forms. He knew he wanted to be a writer from the age of ten, after visiting the Jules Verne Museum with his grandmother. Surrounded by the wonder of imagination and invention, he left that museum with a heart full of dreams and a head full of stories, an experience that sparked a lifelong journey into words.
He later studied literature and philosophy, drawn to big questions and small details alike. His style blends storytelling with atmosphere, often drawing inspiration from nature, forgotten places, and fleeting encounters.
