Introducing The Carousel — A Debut Short Story Collection
I’m really excited to finally share something I’ve been working on for quite a while—my very first book, The Carousel. It’s a strange feeling to hold it in my hands and to know it’s out there now for everyone to read. This collection of short stories is something I’ve put so much of myself into, and I can’t wait for you to experience it.
The Carousel is personal, but in a different way than you might think. There are no big, dramatic tales in this book. No huge moments of change. Instead, these are small, quiet stories about the little moments in life—the ones that seem insignificant until you look back and realize how much they matter. These stories are about people trying to figure things out, about change happening without anyone really noticing, and about memories that stick with us, even when we wish they didn’t. They don’t yell for attention. They just whisper. But I think the quiet ones can be the loudest sometimes.
This is my first time writing fiction, and I’ve learned so much along the way. It’s been a journey of discovering how we all try to make sense of the world around us, how we deal with the spaces between where we are and where we want to be. The characters in The Carousel are all trying to find their way in one way or another. They’re waiting for answers, or for someone, sometimes without even knowing what it is. And that, I think, is something we all share.
I wanted to create a space where time slows down for a moment, where we can simply exist with the characters and their stories. It’s a book meant to be savored, not rushed through. Each story is a piece of a larger whole, but it’s the quiet moments that really resonate. If you’re looking for something to sit with, to reflect on, something that doesn’t demand but invites, then I think The Carousel is the kind of book you’ll enjoy.
So, I hope you’ll give it a try. The Carousel is now available on many platforms. Thank you for all the support, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.
